WHO IS NINALEUCA?
The brand is entirely designed and made in the south of Italy by the visionary creativity of its founder Benedetta Rossi, called by her family Nina. Nina’s ethic is to capture in her timeless creations, the vibrant soul of her homeland, Apulia. Particularly, of that magical part, nestled between the olive groves and the blue Mediterranean Sea, called Salento. Nina’s collections reflect a slow pace and meticulous process, with each piece crafted purposefully and love for details. Tradition holds more importance than fleeting fashion trends, prioritizing slowness over speed. NINALEUCA garments are created using few noble materials, primarily linen, by a community of seamstresses in Nina’s atelier. Her signature design is the “camicione dress“, a remarkably versatile summer wardrobe essential inspired by Salento folklore and peasant costumes. It features wide campana sleeves, intricately embroidered corsets, and a flowing skirt. Tradition, authenticity, femininity, and a playful contemporary touch blend seamlessly in Ninaleuca’s creations.
WHAT DOES ONE OF A KIND MEAN?
One of a kind project stems from Nina’s vision to enrich the entire creation process. A part of her strategy, which embraces both sustainability and creativity, is to create a limited collection each season. Another aspect involves reusing any small remnants of valuable fabric left over from previous collections. By doing so, Nina creates unique and distinctive pieces. In her atelier, Nina carefully handpicks leftover loom-made fabric, combining them into new forms in terms of colours and proportions. These unique pieces can be found, along with the main collection, on Nina’s website under the category “one of a kind”. Nina sets a rare example of an intricate connection between design and sustainable approach to fashion. At the same time, Nina loves crafting bespoke projects and fulfil unique requests from special customers who enjoy the creative journey. The relationship with the client and creative bond with the atelier’s community of dressmakers bring an unpredictable and empathetic energy to every ONE OF A KIND creation

Festa Patronale
Salento patronal festivals, are religious feasts dedicated to the town’s patron saint. They have a high symbolic value, rooted into the ancient propitiatory and purififying rites connected to the peasent culture. Even nowdays they are lived in a deep hearted way by the whole community. In her SS24 Collection NINALEUCA intended to pay homage to this beautiful tradition.The inspiration comes from the geometrical motifs found in “luminarie”, a traditional luminous intallation from Apulian Feste Patronali.
