Gagliano del Capo, situated just 7 kilometers inland from Santa Maria di Leuca, marks the beginning of Salento’s southernmost region, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet. From Nina’s house in Gagliano, it’s a pleasant 15-minute walk through nature, or a bike ride, to reach Leuca and its beautiful beaches. The house is just a 2-minute walk from the main square (“piazza”) of the town, where a local farmer’s market offers succulent seasonal vegetables from the nearby countryside every morning. The house is located on a secluded street, offering tranquility and distance from the tourist hustle. Its rooftop terrace provides a serene view of the distant sea. The exterior of the house is painted with a traditional Salento-style, characterized by its distinctive red brick color.
